HIV is a treatable, chronic disease such as asthma, diabetes or hypertension.  Having congestive heart failure or cancer is much worse than being HIV positive. 

HIV is not a character flaw, it's just a chronic disease caused by a virus.  HIV is not a death-sentence like it was twenty years ago.

There are millions of HIV positive people busy working, raising families, enjoying life.  Take your meds religiously and get adequate sleep, nourishment and exercise.

Do not lose hope - we have made remarkable progress in the treatment of this ailment.  There are hundreds of new HIV drugs on the way.  Each day brings treatment options.  One day there will be a cure. Of this, I am certain.
